Makerspace
Our K-12 Makerspace nurtures creativity, problem-solving, and empathy. Kindergarten and Elementary students visit weekly, exploring coding, robotics, and design thinking through hands-on learning. This environment encourages students to think critically, collaborate, and develop practical skills that prepare them for future challenges. By fostering a love for experimentation and learning, our Makerspace helps students build the confidence to transform their ideas into reality, empowering them to become tomorrow's innovators.
Design Hub
The Design Hub is a dynamic, hands-on learning space where creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving come together. It is the home of our Design classes, where students engage deeply with the full design thinking process - from empathy and problem definition to ideation, prototyping, testing, and refinement.
In the Design Hub, students explore design as a human-centered and holistic practice, developing an understanding of how design influences behavior, choices, and everyday life. Through collaborative projects, students are encouraged to think curiously, work creatively, and take responsibility as thoughtful designers and consumers.
Equipped with a wide range of resistant materials, digital tools, machines, and hand tools, the Design Hub allows students to model and prototype using textiles, plastics, wood, and other materials. Students also build foundational skills in digital and graphic communication, enabling them to clearly visualize, communicate, and evaluate their ideas.
Safety, professionalism, and precision are integral to the Design Hub experience. Students are trained to follow rigorous health and safety practices, mirroring real-world design and manufacturing environments.
Above all, the Design Hub empowers students to see design not just as a subject, but as an essential part of the human condition - one that shapes how we solve problems, collaborate with others, and make informed choices about the world we create.
