Welcome Message from the Head of School

Dear GAA Community,

Whether you are new to GEMS American Academy, like me, or have been part of this wonderful school for many years, welcome!

I am delighted to be joining GAA, a school community about which I have heard so many positive things. One of the joys of each academic year is that it brings new opportunities and fresh beginnings. This year will be no exception. We welcome new faculty and staff, new students, and new families. At the same time, we also welcome back returning students who, although familiar faces, have grown, learned, and changed over the past few months.

GAA is widely recognized as an outstanding school, and one of my goals is to help make it even better wherever possible. Our experienced and talented teachers, together with our dedicated administrative leaders, are committed to ensuring that every student thrives. I have already met some of these professionals, and they are truly impressive.

One phrase I often use is our "Partnership with Parents." I firmly believe that when school and home work together, we create the best possible environment for children to flourish. I look forward to building those partnerships and joining this exceptional community of learners, caregivers, coaches, and advocates.

I've spent my career in numerous schools, serving in many roles, and I continue to love what I do. Every day, I have the privilege of watching students and adults experience growth and success. Witnessing hard work pay off, kindness inspire kindness, and the joy that comes from learning and belonging is the best part of being in schools.

I hope the 2026–2027 school year is the very best yet for your children and your family. As your partner, I will do everything in my power to help make that a reality.
