Admission Requirements
GEMS American Academy - Abu Dhabi enrolls students regardless of gender, nationality or race, who demonstrate an ability and willingness to participate in an all-encompassing American-international environment. GAA follows an enriched American curriculum taught by a licensed, qualified staff, who teach to high academic standards and attend to the social needs of children. However, the school is unable to admit students who require special needs programs, are on an IEP or demonstrate behavioral problems that disrupt learning of self or others.

Admissions testing is required for most students for entrance and grade placement. Students must be within one grade level in reading and math to be admitted. Please note that paying a seat deposit does not guarantee entrance until the assessment is successfully completed.

Age of Students
GAA uses the following age guidelines for admission placement. The minimum age for admission to a grade must be reached before September 15th in the school year for which the child is to be enrolled. New students will be admitted only after verification of the age has been received in the form of either a birth certificate or passport.  All requirements for graduation from GEMS American Academy must be completed before a student’s 20th birthday.

2. Contact the school directly at (+9712) 641 6333 to arrange for forms to be faxed or emailed to you.

On acceptance, a Welcome Package will be sent to you with more information including contact and medical forms.
